If you've ever been curious about how much muscle, fat, or total water your body may have; your answer is an InBody scan.
The InBody scanner uses an 8 point electrode system using bioelectrical impedance analysis (aka BIA) to alternate high and low frequency electrical currents throughout your body resulting in a comprehensive body composition scan.
The scanner is able to provide an accurate value of the following:
- Total skeletal muscle mass;
- Skeletal muscle mass per each body member;
- Total body fat mass, and %;
- Total body water (Intra, & Extracellular levels);
- Visceral fat levels;
- Body fat approximated for each body member;
- Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR).
All of this information is provided to you on a print-out scan sheet, or can be accessed through the InBody app (free).
The great part about this service is that it can be completed, and interpreted all in under 10 minutes. We always follow up with recommendations on how you can improve specific metrics.
For example, if an individual presents a major imbalance in their lower body region; we may suggest specific exercises/movements such as unilateral exercises, or more targeted mobility routines.
